What is Menopause Counselling?
Menopause Counselling helps you process the emotional and physical changes associated with peri and post menopause. This transition can bring about a variety of feelings and challenges, including mood swings, anxiety, sadness, frustration, and confusion.
It’s normal to feel overwhelmed or even detached from the person you were before, as your body and mind adjust to hormonal changes.
We understand that the menopause can affect every aspect of your life, and the emotional rollercoaster can sometimes feel isolating.
Your Counsellor will be empathic and non-judgemental. They will remain objective and will not be upset by anything you say, which may feel different than speaking to loved ones.
Your Counsellor will create a safe space, which will allow you to feel everything you’re ready to feel, knowing that you are protected, and, will be ok afterwards.
Your life is changing, and your Counsellor will support you in creating and adapting to a ‘new normal’.
Is Menopause Counselling for Individuals or Couples?
Menopause Counselling can be accessed by individuals or couples.
Which is right for you will depend on your personal circumstances.
If you wish to explore the feelings around your own menopause, it is usual to attend individually. This allows you to focus fully on your personal experience and any emotional challenges you are facing.
However, there may be times when attending with your loved-one is helpful. Counselling can provide both partners with the opportunity to express their feelings, understand each other’s perspectives, and work together to adapt to the changes that menopause brings.
What Qualifications and Experience do Menopause Counsellors have?

How many Sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed is unique to each client and will depend on how you are impacted by menopause, how you use your time between sessions and how much support you have out-with counselling.
Even with limited time or finances, it is still possible to feel better.
