ADHD Screening

Description

What is an ADHD Screening?

If you have been wondering about ADHD, you are not alone. Many people experience challenges with focus, restlessness, or impulsivity, and it can be hard to know where to turn. Think of an ADHD screening as a helpful first step. It is a way to explore whether some of the things you are experiencing might be related to ADHD. We use questionnaires and sometimes a chat to get a better picture of what is going on. Our screenings provide the following three outcomes:
  • A Tailored Support Letter: This letter is designed to be shared with people who support you, such as employers, educators, family, or friends. It is designed to facilitate discussions about reasonable adjustments and accommodations. Please note that if your screening results indicate that ADHD is unlikely, the letter will be addressed directly to you, explaining these findings.
  • A Comprehensive Screening Report: This document provides a detailed overview of your ADHD cognitive profile, outlining your results, including scores, observations, and key findings. We hope this will be a valuable resource for you, your GP, or other healthcare professionals.
  • A Thoughtfully Curated Support Guide: This guide offers valuable insights and practical support strategies that may be helpful for your well-being, focusing on areas like organisation, time management, and focus.

Important Clinical & Legal Information

  • Ages 18+ Only: We do not provide screenings for anyone under the age of 18.
  • Remote Only: Supported screenings include a 1-hour personal online appointment to support you with understanding and answering the questions. These are held via secure video call or phone call only.
  • Consent: If proceeding with an order on behalf of another person, you acknowledge you have secured their explicit consent. You must enter the details of the adult being screened, not your own.
  • Refund Policy: Once the clinical questionnaires have been dispatched to your email address, we are unable to offer a refund as the professional tools have been issued.

Is an ADHD Screening the same as an ADHD Assessment?

No, they are different. A full ADHD assessment differs from a screening because it is significantly more expensive, usually costing around £2,000. An assessment also requires questioning two people in your life, such as a parent and a partner, to ask about your behaviour. Importantly, an assessment provides a clinical diagnosis. A full assessment is necessary if you would like to try medication. Otherwise, a screening is sufficient for gaining personal clarity and accessing support.

What are the Practical and Emotional Benefits of an ADHD Screening?

Practical Benefits:
  • Workplace & Education: Our screening provides the documentation needed to initiate conversations with your employer or educational setting about reasonable adjustments. This might include flexible working, assistive technology, or extra time on exams.
  • Improved Focus: The report highlights specific areas where you may experience challenges, allowing you to use the practical tools we suggest to boost your overall productivity.
  • Further Evaluation: While not a formal diagnosis, these results provide a solid foundation for your journey towards further evaluation, making subsequent processes more efficient and focused.
Emotional Benefits:
  • Self-Acceptance: Learn more about why you think and feel the way you do, leading to a greater sense of kindness towards yourself.
  • Reduced Anxiety: Explore what is behind your stress and find helpful ways to feel calmer and more in control of your emotions.
  • Validation: Know that your experiences are acknowledged, helping you build confidence in your strengths.

Is my ADHD Screening Confidential?

Your privacy is our priority. Our team adheres to strict ethical guidelines, and we use secure, reputable third-party platforms for our software that are GDPR compliant. We will not share your personal information or results with any other third parties without your explicit consent, except where legally required.
