Des’ Big Drop

Des Clarke and Alison Barr

Radio personality Des Clarke took a stunning leap from the famous Forth Rail Bridge, dangling an impressive 165 feet above the ground!

However, Des’s daring jump wasn’t for excitement; it was to raise funds for Heart Scotland’s charity, ‘Global’s Make Some Noise’.

Des had a lifelong fear of heights, which Alison helped him overcome. Alison appeared on the Heart Scotland Breakfast show and on their Instagram.

Alison donated her time free of charge. Des completed the ‘Fear of Heights’ specialist programme.

Danni’s Stand-Up Comedy

Danni Menzies took to the stage to try her hand at stand-up comedy for the very first time, fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Despite feeling nervous, she performed at The Stand Comedy Club in Glasgow.

Alison appeared on the show to provide Danni with essential guidance to help her manage her nerves ahead of the performance.

Des’ Great Walk

des' big walk

Des was recently challenged to walk two marathons in a single day, journeying from Fife to Glasgow.

All funds raised from this endeavour have been donated to small charities throughout Scotland.

Alison made a surprise appearance on the show to offer Des advice on ‘hitting the wall.’

She discussed strategies for preventing this from occurring, what steps to take if it does happen, and shared a technique to help when everything feels overwhelming.
