What is Bereavement Counselling?

Bereavement Counselling supports you to process the feelings of loss and distress after someone passes away. This may be a person or a pet. You may feel anger, guilt, relief, loneliness, dispair and/or a host of other emotions.

We promise that whatever you’re feeling is normal, however, it can often help to understand and process your emotions with the support of a Counsellor.

Your Counsellor will be empathic to your loss and to your changing emotions. They will remain objective and will not be upset by anything you say, which will feel different than speaking to loved ones.

Your Counsellor will create a safe space, which will allow you to feel everything you’re ready to feel, knowing that you are protected, and, will be ok afterwards.

Your life will unfortunately have changed forever – your Counsellor will support you to create and adapt to a ‘new normal’.
